Dr. Prashant Mehta is a distinguished Medical Oncologist and Bone Marrow Transplant physician with over 12 years of experience. He serves as the Program Head for Lymphoid Leukemias, Lymphomas, BMT, CAR-T Cell Therapy, and related specialties at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad. Dr. Mehta completed his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, MD in Medicine from Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi, and DM in Medical Oncology from AIIMS, New Delhi. He further specialized with a Visiting Physician Fellowship in BMT/Cellular Therapy at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, USA. His primary areas of focus include Acute Leukemia and Lymphoma in children and adults, Bone Marrow Transplantation (including haploidentical and reduced toxicity transplants), and CAR-T Cell Therapy. Dr. Mehta is credited with performing the first Bone Marrow Transplant, Total Body Irradiation-based transplant, and MUD transplant in the Faridabad region. He has been the Principal Investigator for over 20 clinical trials and has more than 60 publications in national and international journals. Dr. Mehta is also a founder member of the ‘Science and Cost’ association, aiming to improve access to cancer care in India.
